Faux Wallpaper

This is my accent wall. Matt and I finally finished it yesterday. It was my first attempt at painting with a humumgus stencil, and it was harder than I expected. It's fairly simple to line the stencil up and keep it level, but my walls are textured, so there was quite a bit of leaking behind the stencil. If you were to look up close it would look a little messy, but I'm pleased at how it came out!

  1. That looks so cool! I want to do that in my house! Except it wouldn't look that cool. Can you come do it in my house? :) Where in your apartment is this wall? And what in the world is a "humumgus stencil"? Google it...and the only thing that comes up is your blog. Ha. Oh. Terry just read it and translated for me that it's probably supposed to say humongous (? I still don't know if that's spelled right?). He's smarter than I. Anyways, where did you get that thing? And how are you guys doing?! We need to talk. Seriously.

  2. You did that all by STENCIL!? That looks incredible! I thought it was just a wall-mural you had put up when I first saw it.

  3. This is amazing! Looks like something that requires a bit too much precision & patience for me, unfortunately...
