"Five, I'm five!.."

Yesterday morning Emma busted out the Shirly Temple song, "Im Five!" because it was her birthday!!! Holy cow, I can't believe I have a five year old! The day was great because we had synagogue, so everyone got to participate! People kept wishing her a "happy birthday", and then she'd tell them that it was a secret. Very funny since she was wearing her "birthday girl" shirt!
The festivities really started on Friday at preschool as it was her special day. She answered questions about herself, got to wear a crown, pick something out of the birthday box, and brought cupcakes with snowflakes on them. She got pink "Tangled" cupcakes at synagogue, and then at home, last night, we had lasagna, her fav (some days), texas toast, and for dessert, a purple oval cake (Emma's request). Then we opened presents: an easy bake oven (heads up if you get one: have the appropriate lightbulb on hand!), play doh cake makin' set, clothes, and more! It was a fun day for "Emmer"...can't believe she's 5!
